Bruins Land Seguin

The Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks have just shattered the hockey world in a monsterous pre-Christmas trade that will send shockwaves throught the league.  The Bruins have landed superstar Tyler Seguin along with blue chip defenseman Braydon Coburn and a 2nd round pick in exchange for a lot of the Bruins future.  The deal will see Nikita Kucherov, Cody Ceci, Tanner Pearson, Ryan Callahan, first round prospect Jakub Zboril and a first round pick in the 2016 head to Chicago in the exchange.

GM Arcesi just stated in his impromptu press conference that while it's hard to trade away so much youth and potential in a single trade...the return that we're getting cannot be undenied.  Seguin is one of the league's top players right now and he's only 23!  He still has his entire career ahead of him and to see him don the spoked B along side Toews, Giroux, Parise, Kessel, Marchand, Stone, etc., just has me giddy!  We're not sure how this is going to go down this season, but we can be sure of one thing, we're looking to continue our run to the cup and Tyler only strengthens that change.  We had minimal impact on our line up.  Kucherov will be replaced by Seguin and Zucker will be expected in the line up to replace Callahan and Coburn will replace Ceci.  We add a lot more scoring and speed to our line up, but lose some physicality.  We're excited to see how this pans out.
