Senators Tank Continues

2014-11-17

The Ottawa Senators continue to slide and while the current players on the roster might not be impressed you sure don't see the current GM Billy Young with a frown on his face.  With the NHL draft looking like the strongest draft in many years that includes the liked of McDavid and Eichel the Senators have reason to be excited.

Billy Young has been sitting on this moment since his cup win and is hoping his rebuild is targeted correctly.  "Whether we wind up with McDavid, Eichel, Marner, Hanifin, etc. we feel like we have really setup a clear path for success with some of the moves we have made since our cup win.  We will continue to search for moves that will make us a younger, faster hockey club.  We feel we have a real strong group of players in our system now and in a few years we anticipate being a strong club for years to come"

Senators fans seem to be behind the idea.  Several fans were asked about the club this year and all seemed to have the same feeling as the first person we asked who said "I hope we lose every game this year.  We love the team and the current players but we sure would like to see 97 in red"
