Bruins Pound Red Wings

In what some people thought was a clear mismatch, the Bruins did the unimaginable in defeating the undefeated the reigning SIMNET Champion Red Wings last night in Detroit in front of a lack lustre crowd where there were almost as many empty seats as there were occupied seats.  This was clearly a mismatch from puck drop considering the lowly Bruins couldn't even make the playoffs last season, but somehow managed to sneak 4 goals past Jonathan Quick and only allowed one in return.

GM Arcesi spoke to the media last night and said sarcastically that he was surprised the Bruins were able to beat the Wings and that it was like David beating Goliath...NOT!  He further said that the Bruins won't be rolling over for anyone this year and that last year's inadequecies were last year's issues and that this year, the Bruins are a legitimate power house in this league and can match up with any other top team in the league.  Sure, we may not have the best team, but we are definitely in a top 5 caliber and we will give you a run for your money game in, game out. Whatever happens happens, but regardless of how many wins or losses happen this year, we will play our game and we will not lie down for anyone and we will do what we can to ensure we don't take it easy on any team, just ask the Red Wings from last night's game.  This team was being put together last season for this season.  Last season was written off to a life lesson and we made moves last year to set this season's team up.  We like what we have and we are going to go with it.  Don't expect any major roster moves the rest of the season unless injuries happen.  A tweak here or there might happen, but no major changes will occur.  We've built what we feel is a solid contender and we will let the boys prove it and do the best that they can.
