Bruins

2013-08-09

We caught up with GM Arcesi and Coach Darryl Sutter of the Bruins and wanted to talk with them about their opening day line-up.  Of course The Bruins Brass didn’t want to give away too many team plans and strategies, but they did share with us what they felt their line-up will look like at the beginning of the season, barring any new additions or subtractions are made.

Line                       Left Wing            Center                Right Wing

1                             Parise                  Toews                Giroux

2                             Marchand            Spezza               Kessel

3                             Abdelkader         Couturier           Skille

4                             Farnham             Rinaldo              Pinizzoto

Extra                      Bourque              Shinnimin          Stone

Line                       Defense               Defense             Goalie

1                             Keith                    Voynov                 Ward

2                             Bogosian            Klein                    Zatkoff

3                             Stralman             Gill

Extra                      Corrado                Lalonde             Hutchinson

Sutter also commented that these lines are probable lines at this time, but are subject to change if performance is not there from any of the lines.

Arcesi commented in an earlier report that the team was not looking to make any more trades as they like what they have…but one thing that he didn’t mention then that he mentioned today was that, if any moves are made, they will be minor league moves for other minor leaguers/prospects/draft picks.  After all the recent trade activity, the Bruins are still carrying two prospects (Kucherov and Whitney) as well as four  first round picks in the next two years (2 in 2013 and 2 in 2014) and two 2nd round picks in 2014.
