Capitals busy

After staying quiet and evaluating his team GM Vaillancourt finally found some deals he was comfortable making. (Pending league approval) The first move came with The caps acquiring Brian Bickell and a 4th round pick in exchange for Prospect Brian HArt, defenceman Steffan Elliott and a couple picks. 

"We had Bickell on our radar for awhile we see him as a solid 3rd liner who can score some goals on the pp for us. We wish Brian and Stefan the best of luck with the devils"

Shortly after that move was reported the Caps shipped Chris Stewart and prospect Austin Watson to the Oilers in exchange for former 4th overall pick Ryan Johansen, the Stars first rounder which is 28th overall and prospect Keegan Lowe and Seth Griffith. 

"After aquiring Bickell we felt Stewart was expendable. We really like Johansen game and think he will fit in perfectly as our 3rd line center for now and we also get the pick we were looking for and a couple solid prospects with upside"

Rumours keep flying out of Washington as we are hearing Ryan Kesler name in talks. Vaillancourt had no comment when we asked him about Kesler being available.
