Oilers decide to go for it

The Edmonton Oilers, who are now 2 points out of the playoffs after coming off of their win against Detroit, made 3 moves before the deadline saturday night.

Young defensman Jeff Pety and Ruslan Fedotenko were acquired from the Florida Panthers. Chris Neil and Jerred Smithson were acquired from Philadalphia, and tough guy Colton Orr from Boston. The oielrs are hoping to ride their recent success and slide into the playoffs.

" We all know that any team can win the cup once in the playoffs, and we feel that we have the skill and experience, and definitley toughness to put up a fight. We are an under dog but thats fine. We have a lineup that is not known to score, but they can keep pucks out of the net and boy can they beat the shit out of you! Edmonton will be a very tough team to play against"
