Sim League Update!

2013-01-17

Addition to the email you received: When we ll resume simming regular season games on Jan 25th, that day we will also sim AHL Days 106, 107 and 108, so get your line up ready for this.

The following text has been sent by email, if you didnt get it, verify we have your current email address or check your junk mail and add the email address to your safe list.  You don't want to miss an important email in the middle of the summer.

Hi all!

We already hit the second half of the season, just crazy how fast it goes.  Time for the all star break. Our schedule follows the NHL schedule, well the schedule they were supposed to have which of course got cancelled because of the lock out.  Since there's no all star break in the NHL there's no point to have one here as well, but we will have an all-star game.

Initially, the all star break was supposed to be from Jan 24th (Day 106) to Jan 28th (Day 110).  The All-Star game will be held on Jan 24th (Day 106), followed right away by Day 111 on Jan 25th.  So we will sim every day, make sure you keep track of the schedule ahead. The players will still get the rest days they were supposed to get (5).

Here's the link to vote for starting line up.

Just like drafts and a few other things in our league, voting is mandatory, so please take a few minutes to do this.  it has to be done by Jan 20th.

As the usual, we are monitoring GMs activity on the league, if you're not logging on on the portal really often because you're not necessary sending your lines regularly and getting your league messages directly in your emails, we won't know if you are around or not,  we don't have any other way to track it down.  So try to connect to the portal regularly.  This being said, active GMs should send their lines for the upcoming games, test their combinations and strategies even if they're rebuilding and not expecting being part of the playoffs.  Active GMs is what we were and still are looking for, it's a PRIORITY here.   Jack (Pittsburgh) who won the cup last year just got fired 3 weeks ago for his inactivity, so anybody else can be.  If you're not sure you want to be here, not sure about your commitment in this league, please just let us know so we can replace you by someone who's waiting for a team being available.

Trade Deadline: March 2nd midnight (ET)
Hope it ll be entertaining as it was last year.... till 11:59 waiting for John to pull the trigger hahaha!

Make sure we have your current email address and let us know if you change it, a few GMs have lost their team last summer cause we couldn't reach them for free agency, draft, etc..

One more detail, please review the league's rules if you haven't done so.  Several rules have been changed since last year and we get questions about stuff that are in the rules.

Well that's it for now,

Email me or Paul (Buffalo) with any questions you may have.
