Hartnell Down!.....

In a bit of a suprise move, the Dallas Stars announced yesterday that they had traded away top 6 winger Ryan Callahan to the league leading Detrois Red Wings in exchange for veteran Scott Hartnell, and defenceman Marc-Andre Bergeron.

"It wasn't a move that the Stars were looking to make." Kevin Rockett said on Friday."We were in the market for a blueliner, which is why we had contacted Red Wing's GM Steeve Cyr. It all just fell in to place from there. We are sad to see Ryan go, but in the end it's a business. We're looking to win, and think that Scott can hep take us to that next level. We got that defenceman in Marc-Andre...and an added bonus is he can play up front if we need him too"

Scott Hartnell paid immediate dividends scoring the first goal of a 3-1 victory, and adding an assist. (His first two points of the season)

The Stars are back in action Saturday night as they host the 4-1-1 St. Louis Blues.
