In a dramatic turn of events, the Dallas Stars have announced that they have recalled G Marc Cheverie from the Texas Stars (AHL). 

 

GM Kevin Rockett had this to say on the surprising move:

 

"We have run into some injury trouble over the past several weeks. Most of it revolves around Khabibulin, as we will now be without his services for 5 weeks. The plan is for Yann Danis to back up Reimer until Nikolai gets back. With Texas playing last night, we have opted to keep him down there for a couple more days. We're going to sit Reimer tonight, and give Marc an opportunity to make his NHL debut against the always threatening Boston Bruins".
